These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Abbey Removals ("we", "us", or "our"). By booking our services, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Quotations
- All quotations are provided based on the information supplied by you.
- Quotes may be revised if the volume of goods, access conditions, or services required differ from those originally described.
- Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
- Additional services requested after booking may incur extra charges.
2. Booking and Payment
- A deposit may be required to secure your booking.
- Full payment is due upon completion of the removal unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- We accept payment via bank transfer, cash, bank card or other agreed methods.
- Failure to make payment may result in additional charges or recovery action.
3. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information regarding the items to be moved or the service required.
- Ensure all items are properly packed unless packing services are arranged with us.
- Disconnect appliances prior to removal unless agreed otherwise.
- Ensure suitable access is available at both collection and delivery locations.
- Inform us in advance of any heavy, fragile, or unusual items.
4. Items we cannot transport
For safety and legal reasons, we cannot transport the following:
- Hazardous or flammable materials
- Illegal items
- Explosives or firearms (unless agreed in advance)
- Perishable goods
- Valuable items such as cash, jewellery, or important documents
You should transport such items yourself.
5. Liability and Insurance
- We exercise reasonable care when handling your goods.
- We maintain appropriate insurance cover for goods in transit.
- We are not liable for loss or damage caused by events beyond our control, including weather, traffic, or delays outside our control.
- We are not liable for items packed by the customer.
- Any damage must be reported within 48 hours of the move.
6. Delays and access issues
- Delays caused by access problems, waiting for keys, or unforeseen circumstances may incur additional charges.
- We will make every reasonable effort to meet agreed times but cannot guarantee exact timings.
7. Cancellations and changes
- Cancellations must be made as early as possible.
- Deposits may be non-refundable depending on the timing of cancellation.
- Changes to booking dates are subject to availability.
8. Storage services
- Storage charges apply as agreed.
- Storage fees must be paid in advance unless agreed otherwise.
- We reserve the right to retain goods until outstanding charges are paid.
9. Force majeure
We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, accidents, strikes or severe weather.
10. Website information

11. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
